Learn MYOB by running a real set of books in it: setup, invoicing, banking and reports, one short lesson at a time.
Outcomes
Curriculum
An indicative outline of the modules and what each covers. Work through them in order, at your own pace.
Portfolio
A certificate proves you finished. The work you build along the way is what gets you hired.
A realistic small business processed for a full month: sales, purchases, banking and reports.
A short set of monthly reports a business owner could genuinely use to make decisions.
Fit
When not to buy this course
MYOB is used mainly in Australia and New Zealand. If your employer or clients are on Xero or QuickBooks, take that course instead: the skills are similar, but you will learn fastest in the software you will actually use.
Good to know
Not to do the course. MYOB is a subscription product, but it offers a free trial, and the course is designed so you can complete it on one.
Learn whichever your workplace or clients use. MYOB is strongest in Australia and New Zealand; in the UK, Xero and QuickBooks are more common. If nothing decides it for you, we would point UK learners to Xero first.
The basics help. If invoices, bills and reconciliations are new to you, Bookkeeping & Payroll first will make this course much smoother.
Every OBA certificate can be verified online by an employer, and the month of books you build in MYOB shows the skill in practice.
It is self-paced. Short, hands-on sessions around work add up quickly, and lifetime access means you can revisit any lesson later.
